I used to play Borderlands 2 in my university years just two years after its release. The immersion was so huge, this location really became a part of me that I percieve as a nearly real life experience even up to this day. I remember old friends that are no longer with me, old troubles that don't bother me anymore, old dreams that did not come true, it all is brought up by this track. Nostalgia overload that makes my heart ache a bit. What a great times.

Realistically, he would've dropped dead instantly. Plus, he wouldn't think to feel for his head because he has no head to think with. (Head contains the brain, the thing you think with and is also connected to the nervous system which likely means if it was severed from your body, you probably wouldn't feel it.) Wow, look at me trying to bring science into a 10 second death scene for a futuristic horror game

When I was younger and saw this for the first time with little knowledge of Dead Space, let alone the context here, I thought these were two different death scenes. I thought Nicole was a zombie who screamed at her victim (Isaac, in this case) before blowing the fuck up. I don’t even know what younger me was thinking when it came to why Isaac impaled himself with the javelin. I know now the context, that Nicole here is a mental apparition who represents the will of the Marker and that her “blowing up” is really the Marker taking complete control of Isaac (who then impales himself so the Marker can complete the Convergence to form a Brethren Moon), but when I was a kid? I didn’t know, I barely heard of Dead Space.
